MCM Group has, in its factory located in Besós, a cogeneration plant with a 5MW gas turbine and a heat recovery system for the production up to 20t/h with an after burner system.
AESA carried out a study to evaluate alternatives for the energy use of exhaust gases of the turbo-blower in order to reduce live steam consumption in heating process of the air introduced in the paper machine bells (pre-drying and post-drying sections). Reducing steam consumption, natural gas saving in cogeneration’s after burner is achieved.
AESA made operational optimization, efficiency and availability control, adaptation to the existing regulations, technical assistance with maintenance suppliers and improvement proposals for the efficiency of the cogeneration plant.
