Project

AESA has been developing thermodynamic process simulation software based on Python and open-source libraries for several years, focusing on the study of emerging technologies such as gasification, hydrogen, high-temperature heat pumps, and concentrated solar power. These simulation codes allow us to integrate these technologies into studies and projects for our clients.

Recently, AESA was awarded funding for the project: “Initial Consulting, Proof of Concept, and Training in Process Modeling and Simulation,” reference “2024/DIH_01/000366,” within the framework of the PADIH Program: Aid to Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises within the Digital Innovation Hubs Support Program, under the Recovery, Transformation, and Resilience Plan (DIH_001), pursuant to Order ICT/1296/2022, of December 22. This project has enabled the company to implement process simulations, such as gasification, using commercial solutions and compare them with simulations developed by AESA in Python, yielding identical results and validating the thermodynamic libraries used. This project was carried out in collaboration with the simulation department of EURECAT’s Air, Water, and Soil unit, which simulated these processes and compared the results with those obtained by the company itself.
