Nestlé España had in its factory in Girona a cogeneration plant, installed by AESA, with two cogeneration lines in simple cycle with gas turbines, installed in 1990 and 1997 with 3.8 and 4.8 MW respectively, able to produce 25 t/h of steam in each line with two heat recovery steam generator (HRSG) (one per line).

In 2010, Nestlé decided to refurbish the first cogeneration line, increasing its electric power and global efficiency with a new 5.2 MW gas turbine.

AESA carried out the engineering, project management; permit management, assistance in purchasing management, construction management and commissioning assistance.
