Jivino’s 15 MW power generation plant is composed of 6 diesel engines (of heavy fuel oil) with a nominal power of 2.5MW each one.

The plant availability is continuous but it cannot satisfy the electricity demand in the area. For this reason, it was decided to expand the existing plant through public tender based on the installation of two additional engines.

The new plant, with a nominal power of 11.6 MW is composed of 2 heavy fuel oil engines of 5.8 MW each one (on site conditions). The steam generation of the plant is the necessary to meet the own self-consumption of the plant (fuel oil heating mostly).

AESA carried out the basic engineering of the expansion project of the plant.
