The factory, that GRUPO MINSA has in Tlalnepantla, belongs to the food industry and produce nixtamalized corn flour. This production process that has a high demand of thermal energy for flour drying process, and power for driving mills, fans and other auxiliary processes.

The selected plant was based on a 9 MW (ISO) gas turbine, whose exhaust gases were used (after a dilution with air and temperature conditioning with an afterburner) in the flour dehydrators as the only heat source.
